ChurchTools website is live
A website for your own church community can now be created from ChurchTools with just a few clicks. ChurchTools data such as dates, people or groups are regularly imported after approval, so that a lot of time can be saved when maintaining the website.
Bank statements can now be uploaded to ChurchTools Finance in MT940 format and the corresponding transactions can be entered as new entries. ChurchTools makes intelligent suggestions and learns from past entries. You can also create your own rules as to when which suggestions should be made.
Appointments can now be scrolled through in the app. The calendar selection helps to display only relevant appointments. You can open an appointment and see more details such as the description or the link. You can also accept meeting requests and see booked resources and their status.
The finder is now live at find.church.tools. You can use it to search for parishes according to desired filter criteria in order to find out more about things such as times of church services, participation offers or contact persons. The finder also makes it easier to log in to your own ChurchTools installation because you no longer have to remember the exact URL.
With this version, there is a new “Public relations” section in the “Manage” menu. Church and location profiles can be managed here. These profiles will appear in the ChurchTools Finder, which is due to go live in 2 months.
There is now a “Registration” tab when creating or editing an appointment. Here you can either select a group as a copy template for a registration group or create a new registration group. This can also be done for a number of future appointments for series appointments.
It is now possible to create and edit meetings in a group. You can note the presence of the group members for the meeting, change the date and time, mark the meeting as canceled or close the meeting and give feedback on it.
Personal data can now be synchronized between ChurchTools and Optigem or between two ChurchTools installations using the new Sync module. In addition, registration data can be imported from DaviP. There are a variety of filter and configuration options.
We completely redesigned the Wiki. The layout is more intuitive, there is a new table of contents, a cross-category search, formatting using Markdown and much more.
Groups with registration now have the option of opening a waiting list. As soon as a group has reached the maximum number of participants, all further registrations are automatically added to the waiting list and everyone receives a waiting list number.
The quick search function has been added to the top right of the blue navigation bar. This allows you to quickly find people, groups, events and wiki pages.

Chat in Web
We have integrated the Element web client into ChurchTools. This means that you can now use the chat from your desktop.
The chat is now available to all ChurchTools systems. It must first be activated once in the system settings. You can then start chatting in the app. Three chat types are offered: Personal chats, group chats and event chats.
The check-in module has been given a visual overhaul and now shines in new splendor. We have not only given the module a new coat of paint, but have also added some new features.
